Rajasthan crisis | BJP demands CM Gehlot’s resignation over protest remark

BJP hit out of Rajasthan government over the political drama. BJP delegation met Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra on Saturday to discuss the Covid-19 situation in Rajasthan. Slamming Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, BJP said events happening in the state are ‘unfortunate’. Rajasthan BJP chief Satish Poonia criticised Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s ‘eight crore remark’ after the Governor didn’t call an immediate session of Assembly requested by the Congress government. While addressing the media, Poonia said, “The warning that eight crore people will gherao the Raj Bhavan given by Chief Minister and Home Minister of the state can invite punishment under Section 124 of the IPC.” Meanwhile, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot said he would protest outside PM’s house if needed. His remarks came a day after a sit-in at the Rajasthan’s governor’s house. Gehlot had accused the governor of stalling a decision on summoning House session. The Supreme Court will hear an appeal on Monday filed by Rajasthan Speaker CP Joshi, against High Court's earlier order to defer anti-defection proceedings against Sachin Pilot and 18 Congress MLAs. The Rajasthan High Court had on July 24 directed the "status quo" in the case.Watch the full video for more details.
