CM designate Nitish Kumar takes oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the seventh time

The ruling alliance in Bihar, comprising BJP and Janata Dal (United), retained power in the state with a simple majority, securing 125 seats in the 243-member state Assembly.

Chief Minister-designate Nitish Kumar arrives at Raj Bhavan in Patna to take oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the seventh time today. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders Tarkishore Prasad and Renu Devi take oath as the Deputy Chief Ministers of Bihar.

Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah arrive at the party office in Patna to attend the swearing-in ceremony of CM designate Nitish Kumar.

The oath-taking ceremony is held at Raj Bhavan in Patna in the presence of Governor Phagu Chauhan. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda among others will be present at the event.
