Cipla gets NOD to import Moderna vaccine to India; green signal by DCGI

In the latest updates about India’s vaccine drive, sources from the Drugs Controller General of India suggest that Cipla got a No Objection Certificate has been given to the Moderna vaccine exports, which adds the possibility of the admission of s 4th vaccine to the Indian drive. However, this approval is subject to import licensing of restricted emergency use after months of negotiations and discussion about the supply chain of Indian vaccines and how they can be expanded for several months. Cipla had submitted a proposal on 28th June to the higher authorities regarding the import permission and approval for the imports license.
