Directed by Home Alone and Harry Potter filmmaker Chris Columbus, the new festive flick is a follow-up to the 2018 original, which saw Hollywood icon Russell don the white beard and red coat for an adventure like no other.
His real-life wife Goldie Hawn also portrays Mrs Claus in the film, because why the heck not?
The trailer itself begins with Santa Claus bearing down on a Yule Cat in his winter wonderland before he's interrupted by the unexpected appearance of Kate Pierce (Darby Camp), who's supposed to be on holiday with her family.
Explaining how she came to be there, Kate explains that her holiday shuttle fell into "a wormhole", as the trailer reveals that it was driven by Julias Dennison's character – a magical troublemaker called Belsnickel, who threatens to destroy Christmas.
And how will he do that, you ask? Well, the baddie sets out to steal the Christmas Star, a magical object that keeps Santa's village safe and hidden from the outside world.
"I'm going to make everyone forget that the North Pole and Santa ever existed," Belsnickel warns.
Will Kate and Jack (Jahzir Bruno) be able to help Santa and Mrs Claus save Christmas once again?
Judah Lewis and Kimberly Williams-Paisley will both be back as Teddy and Claire Pierce respectively in the new film, while Fast and Furious star Tyrese Gibson will also be joining the ranks in the sequel in an as-yet unconfirmed role.
It's almost the most wonderful time of the year!
The Christmas Chronicles 2 hits Netflix on November 25.
