China reacts on Quad Meet, says ‘Hope the summit is conducive to peace’

Rattled China appears to be on the back foot ahead of the Quad Summit. Beijing has shared its first reaction on the Quad meet saying that ‘Hope the summit is conducive to peace’. Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman further added ‘We hope that relevant countries will keep in mind common interests of the regional countries and uphold the principle and do things for regional peace, stability, prosperity rather than the opposite’. Meanwhile, the first-ever quad summit will take place on the 12th of March where heads of Government from India, Australia, Japan and the USA are all set to meet virtually.
