Chief Secretary assault case: Manish Sisodia quizzed by Delhi Police
A week after questioning Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi Police on Friday questioned Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in connection with an alleged assault on chief secretary Anshu Prakash by two AAP MLAs.
Delhi Police wanted to corroborate the statement of Sisodia with the sequence of events that took place on February 19 at CM's residence.
"The officials' prime objective was to know from Sisodia whether the assault on Prakash was pre-planned or not," he said.
"Deputy CM may be questioned again if needed as he did not give "satisfactory answers" and skipped some of questions related to chief secretary assault case," Additional DCP Harendra Singh told media persons after about three-hours of questioning.
The Additional DCP said that the whole process has been video graphed.
"We will make a final report after concluding the entire investigation process which is currently underway," he said. Meanwhile, Sisodia said in a written statement said: "This is not police's fault, they are under pressure to trap us in the case."
