In another move with respect to transparency in the Supreme Court, Chief Justice of India Justice NV Ramana that he is strongly considering the possibility of allowing the live telecast of Supreme Court proceedings. Justice Ramana said this yesterday and added that he is trying to build consensus among his colleagues in the Supreme Court to initiate concrete steps in allowing the live streaming and live telecast of the Supreme Court. Gujarat High Court on the other hand has taken a lead in the matter with Justice Nath conducting live proceedings of the Gujarat High Court which are now allowed to be telecasted on YouTube. If the Supreme Court allows the live telecast of proceedings, it will be a welcome step in favour of transparency. Times Now’s Harish joins in to explain the further details.
