Chhattisgarh: Based on the Prime Ministers' assurance, CM Bhupesh Baghel wrote to the union ministers to allow the usage of 20% of oxygen for industrial purposes. Earlier the Central government banned the use of industrial oxygen due to the shortage of supply and was diverted all for the medical supply. Now the Chhattisgarh CM says the situation is improving and industries idling needs to be allowed to work. The industries have been diverting close to 900 MT of liquid oxygen from the time the ban has been imposed. The situation is improving in the state and across India, and according to PM's promise commerce minister has also told to prepare an action plan for the execution.
