Chhattisgarh Chief Minister criticizes GST Council as a move against federalism

In the GST Council meeting conducted almost seven months after, the inclusion of no Congress-ruled states has triggered several ministers. Chhattisgarh CM has raised serious concerns over the same and called the entire move to be against federalism. With the second wave of coronavirus pandemic ravaging the country, several states urged a reduction in GST rates on essential COVID-19 supplies including various medicines, medical devices, and health services.
