Chennai Corporation asks 700 sanitary workers to quit their jobs

COVID-19 warriors in the State of Tamil Nadu are left in a lurch as the Chennai Corporation has asked over 700 sanitary workers to quit their jobs. This came to light after the Chennai Corporation privatised solid waste management.
The COVID19 frontline workers were asked to leave their duty without any prior notice. These sanitary workers belonged to Anna Nagar and Tondiar Peth division and were engaged with the corporation for the past ten years. One of the workers told Times Now how they were left in shock.
