Chelsea are set to relax one of their stricter rules to tie down Willian to a longer deal.
Once a player turns 30, Chelsea usually only offer them a 12-month extension to their current contract.
But Willian, who turned 30 earlier this month, is set to be given a two-year extension to his deal, which is due to end in the summer of 2020.

Chelsea are so impressed with the Brazilian’s loyalty and his performances on the pitch, where he is showing no sign of slowing down, that they are willing to ignore their usual rule and press ahead with tying him down to a longer deal.
The 30-year-old will earn a pay-rise for his hard work and the deal should see him remain at Stamford Bridge until 2022.
Willian was linked with moves to both Manchester United and Barcelona in the window, but Antonio Conte’s sacking convinced him to stay at the club and see in the new era with Maurizio Sarri.
He started the opening league game of the season against Huddersfield, starring in the 3-0 victory, and it looks like Willian will be playing at Stamford Bridge for a number of years yet.
