New Delhi, July 22: Sportspersons of India hailed Chandrayaan 2, after the mission was launched successfully on Monday and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) added yet another feather to its already stuffed cap. With the launch of Chandrayaan 2, India has become the fourth country after the US, Russia and China, to have got a soft landing on moon.
“Chandrayaan 2 is an Indian lunar mission that will boldly go where no country has ever gone before — the Moon's south-polar region. Through this effort, the aim is to improve our understanding of the Moon — discoveries that will benefit India and humanity as a whole. These insights and experiences aim at a paradigm shift in how lunar expeditions are approached for years to come — propelling further voyages into the farthest frontiers,” ISRO had said in their comment a day ahead of the launch.
