Dantewada, Nov 18 (PTI) Two naxals were arrested bysecurity forces in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district and atiffin bomb planted by them was recovered, police said onMonday.
Baman Mandavi (27) and Hidma Podiyami (26), bothjan-militia members, were nabbed from the forest near Nadenarvillage under Katekalyan police station area, around 70 kmsfrom here, on Sunday evening, a local police official said.
Personnel of the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and theCRPF's 195th battalion were involved in the search operation,he added.
'Based on their interrogation, a tiffin bomb plantedby them to harm security forces was recovered from the areaalong with a detonator and an electric wire,' the officialsaid.
The arrested duo have been associated with the bannedCPI (Maoist) since the last several years, he said.
'Their job involves arranging ration for senior ultrasand keeping an eye on the movement of security forces. The duowere also allegedly involved in planting improvised explosivedevices (IEDs) and iron spikes to target security personnel,'the official explained. PTI CORR TKPNSK NSK
