Centre imports Remdesivir from other countries amid shortage; 75k vials to arrive soon

It is now being reported that the Government of India has started importing the life-saving drug Remdesivir from other countries. The first consignment of 75,000 Redmesivir vials is to arrive in India soon. This after India is facing a shortage of Remdesivir and other life-saving drugs, after witnessing an unprecedented spike in the COVID cases. The Government of India has reached out to other countries seeking aid and assistance in order to cope up with the shortage of the drug. The statement of the first consignment of the Remdesivir drug has been confirmed by the Ministry of Fertilizers and all efforts are now being made to ensure that there is enough quantity of Remdesivir in the country.
