Centre should make it clear that vaccine would be universal and free: CM Gehlot

Jaipur (Rajasthan) December 22 (ANI): Rajasthan's Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that the central government should make it clear that vaccines for COVID-19 would be given to the people for free. CM Gehlot was reviewing the situation of COVID-19 spread in the state. The CM asserted that the majority of the population would not be in a position to buy vaccines as the pandemic had left their economic condition shattered. In such a situation, the Government of India should make the vaccine available free of cost to all the citizens of the country. He directed the state government officials to make proper arrangements for administering COVID vaccine to everyone in Rajasthan. CM Gehlot underlined that due to initial preparations in preventing COVID-19 pandemic, Rajasthan could become a model state. “On the similar lines, we should now focus on vaccination and make preparations that Rajasthan becomes ‘model’ in vaccine management too." The Chief Minister also called upon the people of the state to celebrate the New Year with their families staying inside the homes like they celebrated Deepawali festival. It is important to protect oneself, the family and the lives of others.
