Amid the states staring at a shortage of medicines to fight the deadly Black Fungus, Centre has decided to ramp up production of anti-fungal drugs. The Centre will be importing Amphotericin B drug. 5 more manufacturers have also been roped in to ensure there is sufficient supply in the country. Amidst the surging cases of black infection, the drugs used to treat this infection are currently in short supply. Centre has taken steps and efforts to ramp up the supply. 6 government hospitals in Gujarat reported 1,237 cases of Black Fungus infection so far. Patients having to wait for at least 3-4 days for admissions at Govt hospitals in Ahmedabad and Rajkot. Watch the video to know more!
