After center stops the ration delivery scheme, Kejriwal to chair a review meeting

At 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will hold a review meeting on the ‘Mukhya Mantri Ghar Ghar Ration Yojana' (MMGGRY) scheme. This follows the Central Government's decision on Friday to halt ration delivery at the doorstep under the Delhi Government's MMGGRY scheme, which was set to begin on March 25.

The meeting will include Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Imran Hussain, and other authorities. The subsidised foodgrains being allocated by the department for distribution under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) cannot be used for running any state-specific or other schemes under a different name than NFSA, according to a notification issued by the Union Ministry of Consumer Affairs.
