The evaluation process for the class 10 and 12 board exams began from March 17. A total of 1.46 lakh examiners are involved in the evaluation process of the students.

New Delhi, Mar 14: The Central Board of Secondary Education has conducted the Class 10 English Paper exam on Monday i.e. March 12, 2018. The board exam is going to end on April 4, 2018 and this year almost 16,38,428 candidates have registered for the class 10 board exam. But the teachers and the students have raised concern about a question. According to the teachers, few questions were misleading. But CBSE has assured that before finalisation of marking scheme the board will consider the matter.

The teaches said that the students were asked to find synonyms for ‘endurance,’ ‘obstruction’ and ‘motivation’ from paragraphs two, four and five. But the answers were printed in paragraphs three and six.

A teacher from Delhi, Mahua Mallick said, “In a literature question, students were to attempt one of four options, but some of them were confused because of the way it was presented.” And these questions carried overall 13 marks.

After analysing the question paper properly another teacher said, “ 1.3 had wrong paragraph numbers mentioned in the paper and because of that, a few students were baffled and expect CBSE to compensate the marks during the evaluation.”

A student Rishabh Bobhal from Evergreen Senior Secondary School, Vasundhara Enclave said,“There was enough time to complete the paper. The reading section was a bit tricky but the writing and literature sections were not tough.”

As per as the NDTV reports, a CBSE official told them that they would resolve the problem very soon and make sure that no student should face any problem due to this confusion. And this time the board has relaxed the passing criteria.
