CBI arrests 2 medical officers in Rs 3.5 lakh bribery case, recovers Rs 25 lakh of cash

In Ahmedabad, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has caught two medical device officers from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) for bribing Rs 3.50 lakh. The case has emerged when fatality numbers of coronavirus cases are at a peak and people are suffering from various situations. The probe agency has also recovered Rs 25 lakh from the two officers. A case was filed against the accused and it was alleged that he demanded undue advantage of Rs 3.50 lakh from the complainant. CBI laid a trap and caught the accused while accepting the said bribe.
