UP Cabinet meet: Rural areas to get 18 hours power supply

Uttar Pradesh Government on Tuesday announced that rural areas across the state will get uninterrupted power supply for 18 hours a day. The decision was announced by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and state's Power Minister Shrikant Sharma, who was addressing a press conference in Lucknow. Taking a jibe at the former UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, Sharma said that the present government will work at the ground level which the previous government didn't do. Sharma was speaking after Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath chaired the second cabinet meeting earlier in the day.
