BWF World Badminton Championships 2019: PV Sindhu continued her fine form as she defeated China’s Chen Yufei 21-7, 21-14 to reach the finals of BWF World Badminton Championships 2019 in Basel. Unlike her quarter-final encounter against Tai Tzu Ying, the Indian shuttler dominated the match right from the word go. After a couple of long rallies, which was coupled with some powerful smashes, Sindhu crushed her opponent, winning the first game by a massive 14 points.
Chen Yufei showed glimpses of a fightback in the second game, as she initially maintained a neck-to-neck battle against the Indian. However, after the mid-game interval, the Chinese lost her way making errors one after the other, eventually losing the game 21-14. In a while, World No. 19 B Sai Praneeth will take on Kento Momota in the men singles semi-finals.
In the second match, B Sai Praneeth despite putting up a valiant first game and a spirited start to the second game, he falls to defeat to Japan’s Kento Momota by 13-21, 8-21 in the men’s singles semifinal. The Japanse started on a slow note, however, he took full control as the first game progressed. The World no 1 maintained his supreme form in the second game, winning it by a massive margin of 13 game points.
