Two unidentified terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Badgam district. The operation shifted into an encounter in a turn of events after militants open fire at the security forces positions as stated by police officials.
Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and J & K police launched a joint cordon-and-search operation at Machama in Chadoora area of Budgam district following a tip-off about the presence of terrorists there. The gunbattle lasted for nearly four hours. The terrorists were reportedly associated with the organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), with a possibility there was a possibility that one of them was local.
