Premier League champions Liverpool are still on course for a record points haul as they take on Brighton on Wednesday night.

Having already cantered to the title, Jurgen Klopp has Manchester City's 100-point total in sight as the Reds look to close out a famous season in style.

Next up is a trip to the south coast to face Graham Potter's Seagulls, who are looking to confirm their Premier League survival.

Date, time and venue

Brighton vs Liverpool is scheduled for an 8:15pm BST kick-off on Wednesday, July 8, 2020.

The match will be behind closed doors at Amex Stadium with no fans due to be present inside the stadium due to government guidelines regarding coronavirus.

How to watch

TV channel: Brighton vs Liverpool will be shown live on Sky Sports' Premier League and Main Event channels from 4.15pm, and is available via Now TV with a day pass for £9.99, or a three-month pass on offer for £25.

Live stream: Sky Sports subscribers can stream the match online via SkyGo and the SkyGo app, with a mobile month pass available for £5.99.

Team news

Brighton have no fresh injury concerns. Long-term absentee Jose Izquierdo remains sidelined, while the club are regularly assessing the fitness of Steven Alzate, who had a minor groin procedure delayed during lockdown.

Alzate was said by Potter to be "struggling" in training earlier this week, so is unlikely to feature against the Reds.

Provisional Brighton squad: Ryan, Schelotto, Webster, Dunk, Burn, Propper, Bissouma, Gross, Trossard, Mooy, Maupay, Lamptey, Montoya, Mac Allister, Connolly, Stephens, March, Duffy, Murray, Button, Connolly, Alzate.

Liverpool are set to make changes for their third match in seven days. Captain Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum and Roberto Firmino were all rested for Sunday's laboured win over Aston Villa but made a crucial impact when coming off the bench.

Left-back Andy Robertson is due a rest but that could depend on whether stand-in James Milner has recovered from a minor problem which kept him out at the weekend.

Provisional Liverpool squad: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk, Gomez, Robertson, Fabinho, Henderson, Keita, Salah, Firmino, Mane, Adrian, Williams, Wijnaldum, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Minamino, Origi, Elliott, Jones, Shaqiri.

Prediction: Brighton 1-3 Liverpool

Brighton are not completely safe from relegation, but a nine-point advantage over the drop zone should ensure their top-flight status.

Liverpool have shown their quality time and again this season, and you'd expect them to get the job done on the south coast.

Head to head (h2h) history and results

Liverpool have won all five Premier League meetings between the teams, with the last victory (2-1) coming at Anfield in November.
