Earlier this year, Bose launched a miniature version of its Home Speaker 500 - Home Speaker 300 -- in the US. Now nearly three months later the audio giant is bringing the same smart speaker to India. Bose has launched the Home Speaker 300 in India for Rs 26,900 and it will be available on pre-orders via Amazon India in the country starting August 22.
The Home Speaker 300 will be available for sale in India at the Bose Stores, Wholesale Trade Partners and via Amazon India on August 29 in Black and Silver colour variants.
While the newly launched Bose Home Speaker 300 is smaller and lighter in weight compared to the Home Speaker 500, which we reviewed earlier this year, it is capable of producing the same powerful sound that is synonymous with the brand. For comparison, the Home Speaker 300 measures 10.2 x 14.2 x 16.1 cm and weighs 948 grams, the Home Speaker 500 measures 10.9 x 17 x 20.3 cm and it weighs 2.11 kilograms.
As far as the features are concerned, the Home Speaker 300 features support for both - Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa - and users can stream audio using the Apple AirPlay 2 from their Apple devices. In terms of the sound, the newly launched smart speaker comes with an acoustic package that is capable of delivering powerful bass and true 360-degree sound.
In terms of the design, the Bose Home Speaker 300, just like the Home Speaker 500, is wrapped in a beautiful aluminum body. However, it does not feature the small LCD display that was available in the bigger smart speaker lauched by the company. It is compatible with all other Bose smart speakers for a multi-room listening experience.
It is worth noting that the launch of the Bose Home Speaker 300 comes a day after the company launched its Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 in India for Rs 34,500. While Home Speaker 300 will be available on pre-orders, Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 will go on sale in the country starting August 22.
