Mumbai, Dec. 5 -- In Bollywood fads spread faster than fire. The latest fascination seems to be that of announcing sequels. But Remo D'Souza is a step ahead of the trend. He's so confident of his directorial venture ABCD - AnyBody Can Dance that he has announced its sequel two months before the film even releases.
Remo feels that he has a lot to tell the world about dance and one film isn't enough to do so. "Yes, there are plans for ABCD 2. I have been a dancer and choreographer all my life before I turned director and I want to make as many films on dance as possible in this lifetime," he says. "I will have to work out some cool ideas for the premise of the sequel, as I have given my all to ABCD. But one thing is for sure, the sequel will definitely have Prabhudheva in the lead."
Remo and Prabhudheva's friendship goes back a long way. They have been friends for over 10 years now. An insider reveals, "Remo looks up to Prabhu. He has been a guiding light and has been there for him when he needed Prabhu. In fact, he was the first and last choice for ABCD as Remo told him he wasn't even thinking of anyone else for the lead role."
Prabhudheva is undoubtedly one of the best dancers in our country and the love for the art brought Remo and Prabhu together. "For ABCD, it seems like the entire dance industry came together as Shamiak Davar gave away the title he owned and choreographers like Saroj Khan and Ganesh Acharya among others will feature in it," says the source.
