Candace Cameron Bure recently shared a photo of her husband, Valeri Bure, touching her breast on her Instagram Stories.
After some fans deemed the photo to be "inappropriate," Candace responded saying Val could touch her "anytime he wants."
When Candace reposted the picture on her Instagram feed, Full House star Bob Saget left a hilarious comment.
It all started last week when Candace shared the below picture on her Instagram Stories. In it, the Hallmark star and her husband of 24 years, Valeri Bure, pose together as Val cups her breast. While most fans saw the pic as hilarious and fun, some criticized Candace for being "inappropriate." Seeing the backlash, the Fuller House star proceeded to defend herself in a series of now-expired videos.
"For all of you Christians that are questioning my post with my husband's hand on my boob — my husband of 24 years — thinking it was inappropriate, it makes me laugh because it's my husband, we have so much fun together. He can touch me anytime he wants, and I hope he does," she explained. "This is what a healthy, good marriage and relationship is all about."
As soon as the Instagram Stories picture expired, Candace then shared the same snapshot in her feed along with another adorable photo from the same day. "Sweet and spicy ❤️🙌🏼🌶 24 years and counting 😉," Candace wrote in the caption.
While Candace still received some flak after reposting the picture, many of Candace's fans flooded the comment section with words of support. "Too cute!!! Pretty awesome couple after 24 years!!!!," one fan wrote. "Lovebirds #relationshipgoals," another said.
And then there was Bob, who, perhaps knowing about all the unnecessary criticism Candace received, posted a short and sweet joke to show his support of the couple. "Love you guys and congrats on second base!!! ❤️,” he quipped.
Candace and Val — who are parents to their three adult children, Natasha, Lev, and Maksim — celebrated their 24th anniversary officially on June 22. Back in January, Candace dished to Good Housekeeping about what she believes is the glue that keeps them together.
"Lots of patients, lots of grace. And just lots and lots of understanding. That's what it comes down to when you're with someone for so long," Candace said. She also explained the importance of leading by example.
"My parents have modeled an incredible marriage for over 50 years, and I hope we've done the same for our kids," she said. "I think that's really all you can do because people have their own personalities and what's important to them, and you've got to figure out how to make it work. People are different."
Clearly, Candace and Val have found what works for them: doing their own thing and not worrying about what the haters have to say about it.
