Black Fungus scare: Delhi govt forms panel to ensure enough supply of amphotericin in the Capital

The cases of Black Fungus/Mucormycosis are now on a rise in the country, with several states witnessing a sporadic surge in the cases that are now being reported. Amidst the ongoing scare, the Delhi government has now formed a panel to monitor the situation and the availability of the injection to treat Black Fungus. The Delhi government is fearing that given the spike, the drug is likely to be hoarded and the National Capital will thus witness a shortage, a situation which arose in the past at the time of Remdesivir injections. The committee will be ensuring that only COVID notified hospitals to get the injection that is used to treat Black Fungus. Watch the video to know more.
