Black Fungus cases spike: National COVID task force issues new guidelines for states

The breaking news is about the National Covid task force to prioritize young patients for giving anti-fungal drug Amphotericin B to treat mucormycosis or the black fungus, which has been mainly reported across the country. The cases are rising for fungal infection. The states have been further advised that patients with whom the surgical removal of infected tissue is not possible should be given the anti-fungal drug after the young population. The experts have made it clear that the cause of mucormycosis is not because of low oxygen, oxygen concentrator, or wearing of the mask.
