Black Fungus cases rise: 90 dead in Maharashtra; govt reaches to Centre for help

The cases of mucormycosis are on a rise in India and as many as 90 people have succumbed to the black fungus infection in Maharashtra alone. Several states across the country are now reporting a surge in the cases of Mucormycosis which are being coming to light daily. The Maharashtra government has now sought help from the Central government, seeking enough supply of Amphotericin injection, which is used to treat Black fungus.
