The Bharatiya Janata Party plans formally to celebrate its astounding electoral victory in Uttar Pradesh on March 18.
The party along with alliance partner Apna Dal won 325 of UP's 403 constituencies in the recently-concluded polls.
A spokesperson of UP said that the party workers would be celebrating 'Vijay Diwas' at booth level throughout the state on March 18.
"All the MPs, MLAs and office bearers of the party would participate in the Vijay Diwas celebrations," the BJP said in a statement.
WHO WILL BE UP CM?
Meanwhile, the party's top leadership, including party chief Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is in a huddle, deciding whom to appoint as the next Uttar Pradesh chief minister.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh and UP BJP chief Keshav Prasad Maurya are both said to be in the frontrunner. However, there's also the possibility that the name, which could be a complete surprise, has already been decided.
BJP, which is coming back to power in UP after 14 years, is expected to announced the CM pick today.
