BJP MLA's protest against Mukul Roy appointed as the PAC chairman

Buddhadeb Sengupta: Mukul Roy has been appointed as the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) in the Assembly even after leaving the party. The BJP has already expressed outrage at breaking the half-century tradition. In protest, the Gerua Shibir MLAs resigned from a total of six committees. Breaking the tradition, Mukul Roy, who left BJP and joined Trinamool, has been appointed as PAC chairman. Following the announcement, BJP MLAs walked out in protest. He informed that the opposition would decide to resign from the post of Chairman of all the committees. Because, according to their allegations, the power of the BJP as an opposition in the Assembly is being curtailed.
