BJP demands a ban on PFI; ‘Terror’ Crackdown sparks controversy

The Uttar Pradesh police have handled a big blow to the radical group Popular Front of India with two of its members being arrested for plotting terror attacks across the country. The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force stated that multiple blasts were planned by the duo to mark the foundation day of the Popular Front of India. The targets were Hindu organisation particularly the RSS. Explosive material and incriminating evidence have been recovered and the police are now working for the target. The arrest comes as a big blow to the organisation that has often found political patronage. The Bhartiya Janata Party is demanding a ban on the Popular Front of India and Uttar Pradesh police is building a case for terror against the members.
