BJP delegation reaches Election Commission over Mamata Banerjee audio tape controversy

The battle of Bengal continues to intensify with the BJP delegation reaching out to the Election Commissions office in Kolkata regarding the tape controversy that has emerged from Sitalkuchi. Yesterday, hours before the fifth phase of polling began in West Bengal, BJP released an audio clip where a conversation between Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee and TMC candidate Partho Pratim Roy can be heard. BJP delegations alleged that there was an attempt to stoke communal tension in West Bengal and further to terrify voters with the say that NRC will be executed in the state and they will be moved to the detention camps. BJP, also claims that the Trinamool Congress has not denied the veracity of this tape and thus has accepted that this conversation that has happened between the CM and the party member on the day firing took place. BJP has now demanded strict action over these audio calls that have been circulated.
