Ahead of Bihar elections, Chief Election Commissioner of India Sunil Arora in a briefing stated that the general elections will be conducted in three phases.
In the first phase, 71 assembly constituencies in 16 districts will go for polls. It will be held in approximately 31,000 polling stations. In the second phase, 94 assembly constituencies in 17 districts will go for polls and it will have approximately 42,000 polling stations.
10 districts will have two phases of elections while 28 districts will have single-phase elections. The issue of notifications will begin from Oct 1st, for phase 1. The date of the poll is 28th Oct. The counting of votes will be done on November 10 and will be done for all the phases together.
