Bihar: Mass gathering at Buxar despite lockdown; administration turns a blind eye

Amidst the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, a large number of people assembled at the Ganga Ghat in Bhairampur, Buxar for religious activity. These people had gathered there for mundan ceremony and were seen flouting the COVID norms. They were not not practicing social distancing and at a time when wearing double masks is being highly recommended, their masks were hanging low. Despite the state of Bihar being under lockdown, the administration turned a blind eye towards this mass gathering. This event also shows the callousness of the people as it could very easily turn into a super-spreader and wreak havoc in the state.
