Gujarat Assembly Elections 2017 Results: Bihar Deputy CM Sushil Modi Stirs Controversy, Says ‘RAM’ Wins Over ‘HAJ’

Congress vitiated the electoral atmosphere by playing caste politics by invoking 'HAJ' (Hardik Patel, Alpesh Thakore and Jignesh Mevani) which was defeated by BJP's 'RAM' (Rupani, Amit Shah and Narendra Modi).

New Delhi, Nov 19: In a first of its kind, which can set an example for other political leaders, Bihar Deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi has decided not to organise a simple wedding for his elder son Utkarsh Modi.

Utkarsh Modi, who works with a multinational company in Bengaluru will be tying knot with Kolkata-based chartered accountant Yamini in the ‘Shakha Maidan’ situated in Rajendra Nagar area of Patna on December 3. If reports are to be believed, the guests attending the wedding won’t see any band, baaja and baarat.

Invitations have also been sent through messaging application ‘WhatsApp’, which clearly mentioned that no dowry is being exchanged and no gift will be accepted on the occasion. PM Narendra Modi has also been invited through e-card.

Unlike mouthwatering wedding feast, the guests son will be served simple prasad.

Talking to leading daily the Indian Express, Bihar Deputy CM said, “My marriage was also solemnised in the most austere manner. We will keep 1,500 chairs at the venue and invitees can see the two-hour marriage ceremony during the day. There will be no feast, guests will be offered only prasad.”

“The guests cannot be called baraat as there will be no lavish welcome, feast or dance or song”, he added.
