Big boost for Indian Air Force, 5 Rafale jets to land in Ambala by 5th November

Amid the Indo-China standoff, the next batch of three Rafale fighter jets is all to arrive in Ambala on the 5th of November directly from France. The Indian Air Force’s strike capabilities are set for a boost with the Omni-role inducted Squadron. The jets will be a part of Golden Arrow Squadron.

16 more jets will land in India by April 2021. India has signed an inter-governmental agreement with France to procure 36 rafale jets aircraft at a cost of Rs 59,000 crore. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that "This induction is important considering the kind of atmosphere at our borders or the kind of atmosphere created at our borders."
