Chachi 420

Kamal Hassan would sit for hours to perfect the look of 'Chachi', such was his devotion for his craft. His hard-work paid off at the box-office and the movie netted over 11 crores, which was quite the fortune back in the mid 90s. Govinda tried doing something similar in Auntie No. 1, but it was a travesty, and failed miserably at the ticket window. Let's agree that it's impossible to re-do a Kamal Hassan, and steering clear of this flick would translate to wisdom.

Filmmakers shouldn't ruin our childhood by remaking these hits from 90s Bollywood

Sara Ali Khan and Varun Dhawan starer, Coolie No 1, a remake of the 90s super-hit of the same name, is in the making. With the actress teasing us with occasional glimpses from the sets, we can’t wait to watch how immaculately she has reprised Malti portrayed by Karisma in the original.

This would be the second time Varun starred in a remake of his father’s 90’s hit, Judwaa being the first.

While we enjoy all these remakes, there are movies which are beyond time and generations. Some of these gems had hit the theatres in the 90s and we would not be very amused if anyone spoiled their essence by attempting a remake.

And these are not all, we have prepared two more lists on the same topic earlier. So please, Mr. Filmmaker, don’t touch our beloved classics.

- Dear Bollywood, could you please NOT remake these 10 classics?

- Dear Bollywood, again, could you please NOT remake these 10 classics?
