Navratri is celebrated all over the country albeit in different ways. However one of the most common ways of celebrating the festival, predominantly in the western states of Gujarat and Maharashtra, is in the form of Garba and dandiya. Youngsters gather in groups dressed in traditional Gujarati attires (women in ghagras and men in kediyus or dhoti-kurta) and celebrate the festival, dancing to some foot-tapping numbers in utmost pomp and fervour.
