Bengaluru: Vaccine centre for those studying abroad; relief for international students

The Karnataka government began delivering vaccination shots to individuals going abroad to study today, providing comfort to many whose plans had been hampered by the Covid issue and vaccine scarcity. The state government has not only arranged for these students to be vaccinated, but it has also reduced the 12-week interval between shots so that their plans are not disrupted. Both dosages can now be given fewer than six weeks apart. There was a huge line at a special center in Bengaluru where such pupils were given the shot, and the relief on their faces was palpable.
