Bengaluru Riots: NIA raids 43 locations including 4 offices of PFI

A major development in Bengaluru riots probe. PFI link to the riots has come under the scanner of the NIA. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids at 43 locations in Bengaluru and 4 offices of PFI included in these 43 locations.

The cases pertain to large-scale rioting, causing injuries to police personnel, destruction of public and private property, including the police stations' buildings and public and private vehicles, National Investigation Agency (NIA) spokesperson said, adding that the rioters were armed with lethal weapons.

The riots triggered fear and panic in the nearby areas and were intended to cause terror in society.
