Bengaluru riots: Former mayor Sampath Raj's aid arrested

The former mayor Sampath Raj's aid has been arrested in the Bengaluru riots probe. On August 11, a violent clash broke in the city of Bangalore as a reaction to a Facebook post on Muhammad, a prophet and founder of Islam, by the nephew of the state legislator of Indian National Congress, Akhanda Srinivas Murthy. Following which a Muslim mob turned violent outside the leader's house. In the recent developments in this case, a man identified as Riazuddin has been arrested on the charges of helping the accused. Riazuddin is said to be a friend of former mayor Sampath Raj who is still absconding.
