Bengaluru police takes precautionary measures ahead of Ayodhyaverdict Bengaluru, Nov 7 (PTI) With the Ayodhya verdict expectedsoon, elaborate precautionary measures have been taken in thecity to prevent any untoward incident, a top police officialsaid on Thursday.
Paramilitary and Rapid Action Force personnel would alsobe deployed on security duty, Bengaluru PoliceCommissionerBhaskar Rao said.
Rao said he had held a series of meetings with the seniorofficers of the department and would soon convene one withdeputycommissioners of police.
'All precautionary measures have been taken. All theofficers will be available. There will be deployment ofparamilitary forces and Rapid Action Force,' he told reportershere.
As part of goodwill-building measures, meetings were heldwith the various groups of minority and majority communityappealing to them to maintain calm.
'All of them have agreed to abide and respect the judgmentof the court,' he added.
Rao said the leaders agreed that they will not expresstheir disappointment or celebrate the verdict by means ofprocession or fire crackers or throwing of colours at eachother.
There will be no sloganeering to express their views, headded.
'We are here to build confidence to keep Bengaluru safein the best possible manner,' he said.
A five-judge Constitution bench led by Chief JusticeRanjan Gogoi had on October 16 reserved its judgement in theRam Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title dispute case. The verdictis expected before Justice Gogoi retires on November 17. PTIGMS RSVS VS
