Beekeepers in far-flung J&K hope for boost in sales

Rajouri (J&K), June 9 (ANI): Beekeeping is one of the main sources of income for the villagers in the hilly areas of the Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir. Many farmers in the district are facing a challenge to sell honey in the market. Villagers have been asking for the assistance of the government and demanding an increase in the market for selling honey. Around 200 farmers in the village have 2000 man-made hive boxes. “I have been into beekeeping for more than ten years, but we have no market for honey”, says a beekeeper.
