BCCI Invites Application for ‘Team Manager’ Post

The minimum criteria for an applicant is he or she has to be former cricketer of either first class cricket or international cricket.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) invited applications for ‘Team Manager’ post for the senior Indian cricket team. The manager will accompany the team on every tour, home and foreign. BCCI has given certain conditions which applicants have to fulfill before getting selected. The deadline for applying for the job is July 21, 2017, and the selected person should be below 60 years of age. The contract will for one year.

The minimum criteria for an applicant is he or she has to be former cricketer of either first class cricket or international cricket and must have “successfully managed a cricket team of any of the affiliated units of BCCI or the national teams, at the first class or at the International level, or have a minimum of ten years of work experience in public/private sector, will be preferred.”

BCCI also said that the candidate must carry a minimum graduate degree certificate from a recognized university but a master’s degree is desirable.

Other conditions are a candidate has to be a tech savvy person and must have a good understanding of latest technologies such as sports software ability to utilise the same, is desirable.

In another point, BCCI mentioned the candidate must have proficiency in Hindi and English languages. Alongside them, the candidate should have a basic understanding of regional Indian language, which will give him or her added advantage.
