Dhaka (Bangladesh), June 05 (ANI): Massive protests were held on Friday in Bangladesh to mark the 32nd anniversary of Tiananmen Massacre in Beijing. Protesters at Baitul Mukarram Mosque in Dhaka wear blue masks representing Uighur repression and human rights violations by Chinese Communist Party. The protesters later carried out a protest march on streets of Dhaka. A candlelight vigil was later organised near Shahbagh crossing to mark the day. In Sylhet, a poster campaign was launched to condemn China’s repression. Tiananmen Square protests were student led demonstrations calling for democracy, free speech and free press in China. They were halted in a bloody crackdown known as Tiananmen Square Massacre on June 4, 1989. The Chinese army crackdown on the protesters killed at least 10,000 people. Thousands of Chinese nationals were detained, imprisoned or went missing. Voice of the innocent people who demand for basic rights and justice was silenced and repressed.
