Bad cellular networks force the MP Minister to ascend the Ferris wheel to make calls

Bad cellular networks forced Brijendra Yadav, Madhya Pradesh's Minister of State for Public Health Engineering (PHE), to climb on a giant wheel every day for three hours to speak to people for nine days in a row via mobile phone.

As a photo of Minister Yadav sitting on a giant wheel and speaking on a mobile phone went viral on social media, the matter came to light on Sunday. For the last nine days, the minister was in the Surel village of Ashok Nagar district where a 'Bhagwad Katha' (recitation of holy scripture) programme was conducted in the midst of a fair that had a giant 50-foot wheel as one of its attractions. Yadav used to sit on the giant wheel to pick up mobile phone signals because of weak cellular networks.
