Babri Masjid Demolition verdict: All the prime accused in the case have been acquitted by a special CBI court in Lucknow today. The court cited lack of conclusive evidences against all the 32 accused in the case and even maintained that some of these leaders have even tried to calm the mob. LK Advani, Uma Bharti and Sakshi Maharaj were among the prime accused.
AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi calls it a black day in the history of Indian courts. He cited Supreme Court's reference to it as an act of violation. He further stated that the Supreme Court called it a calculated move to destroy a place of worship. He went on to cite the example of an eyewitness in CBI's chargesheet that said that the then UP Chief Minister Kalyan Singh gave a provocative speech and polarised the people by saying that there is no stopping from destruction but construction.
