Avalanche tragedy in Uttarakhand; 16 people rescued by ITBP & NDRF teams

A part of the Nanda Devi glacier broke off in Uttrakhand's Chamoli district, leading to a massive flood in the Dhauliganga river and caused large scale devastation in the area. The Rishi Ganga project has also been affected because of the massive flood and close to 150 people are feared missing. While the rescue operation has begun, the NDRF and ITBP teams have recovered ten bodies so far and have rescued 16 people so far. Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have taken stock of the situation in the district. The ITBP teams are still continuing the rescue operation. Watch!
