Auto, cab drivers disappointed after Anand Vihar station reserved for COVID service

New Delhi, June 15 (ANI): Amid galloping cases of COVID-19 in the national capital, Anand Vihar Railway Station will not see any trains operating from the station from June 15. Train coaches at the station will operate as isolation wards for COVID-19 patients. All trains to and from the railway station will be moved to the Old Delhi station. On yesterday’s crucial meeting between Home Minister Amit Shah, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, and Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, it was announced that the Centre will immediately provide 500 converted rail coaches to the Delhi government for isolation wards. After the decision the auto-rickshaw and cab service providers are feeling the pain as there will be no passengers for them and it will impact their earnings as they are already facing the brunt of lockdown.
